Read To Feed: Service Learning Read-a-thon!

April and May are very exciting months in our library! Many students at West Bath School are participating in our 5th annual Read to Feed service learning project. Once again they have the opportunity to change the world by helping poor, starving children. Heifer International's Read to Feed program allows children to make a difference and exercise compassion!

We raised $1,830 for the cause last year. Can we top that this year? We're trying!

Sponsors pay students to read books. The money raised will go to purchase livestock (chickens, goats, cows, rabbits, honey bees, etc.) for extremely poor families. The gift of animals provides ongoing food to impoverished families around the world. The family who receives a gift of an animal promises to 'repay' the living loan by passing on one of their animal's offspring to another needy family in their village.

One animal-gift to one family can transform an entire community...The Gift That Keeps on Giving!
