December Math Theme: Numbers

Hard to believe, but December is upon us! Last month our Math display featured 'Counting' books. This month the theme is 'Numbers'. The 5th graders have been checking out these math books and are reading them to their kindergarten buddies...yay! Nice to see the older kiddos working with the little ones and helping teach/reinforce math skills and concepts...a very powerful collaboration among students across grade spans!

The MSBA (Maine Student Book Award) books are flying off the shelf! Grades 4&5 are busy reading as many as they can before the Battle of the Books competition coming up in the spring. So wonderful to see so many students and teachers involved in reading and enjoying these books!
